Strategic investments

Initiated in 2005, the goal of the business is to form strategic relationships with skilled investment managers. Ultimately, we aim to improve the probability of manager success and help expand these businesses through fund investment, capital raising, use of our global platform and the establishment of appropriate risk and operational control standards.

KBC FP has the flexibility to structure various types of strategic partnerships including seed deals with independent managers, joint ventures, in-house platform arrangements or opportunities within our multi-strategy hedge fund. The group has access to proprietary bank funding in order to provide capable managers significant, stable investment capital.

Additionally, KBC FP has a successful track record in raising outside capital for single manager funds and will leverage marketing resources in US and Europe to raise third party assets for our partners.

KBC Strategic Investments business is interested in managers who will be suitable partners, possess a high degree of expertise and relevant skills in strategies which can offer an asymmetric risk/return profile.
