KBC Alternative Investment Management ("KBC AIM") is a global multi-strategy hedge fund manager.
Soon after the group was established in 2001, KBC AIM received a EuroHedge Award for best new fund of the year. KBC AIM's approach to investment is quantitative; it has created individual funds which generate returns for investors through credit arbitrage, convertible bond arbitrage, relative value and volatility arbitrage and other diversified strategies. Key members of the team have multi-business track records within the KBC FP Group and are specialists in relative value, equity, equity volatility and credit trading.
Based in New York, London and Hong Kong, the teams manage total assets of approximately $1 billion primarily in equity and credit strategies. In October 2002 the KBC Credit Arbitrage Fund was formed to capitalise on KBC AIM's extensive quantitative research capability and the development of the relationship between debt and equity pricing. The KBC Diversified Fund was created in May 2006 focusing on credit, volatility and convertible arbitrage strategies. KBC AIM is supported by a team of more than 80 employees globally in London, New York and Hong Kong.
