What technical environment is in place?

We use a range of object-oriented technologies for implementing our trading, research, and settlement systems.

Client applications are mainly built in Java and C#, with middle tier services predominantly in Java. C++ is used for performance critical server side development and trading analytics, with Python as the scripting language of choice.

UNIX (Solaris), and Windows are the standard operating systems. But UNIX is used as the preferred platforms for servers and high throughput applications.

The majority of the firm's data are stored in Sybase and Oracle databases.
