After earning a computer science degree from Manchester University - and interning at Texas Instruments and ICL - AK joined a U.S. bulge bracket investment bank in London, where he spent three years developing financial analytics and trading platforms. In 1996, he joined the Financial Products group, where he has been instrumental in the ongoing development and improvement of the firm's real-time trading software.

Entry-point to industry

AM joined the Financial Products team straight from graduate studies at City University, where he earned a masters in business systems analysis and design following his undergraduate computer science studies at Imperial College. Starting in 1997 as a line member of the helpdesk, he has progressively taken on more development-oriented responsibilities since early 1999.

Hedges and manages the structured products book

Entry-point to industry

DV was a senior interest rates option trader in a Belgian investment bank before joining the trading desk in November 1999. His activity of running structured retail products includes hedging the most advanced exotic structures, such as look back, barrier options, Asian cliquets with global floors, and multi-assets options.

Entry-point to industry

JW joined a high profile American investment bank as an IT analyst after graduating from Rutgers University with a B.Sc. in computer science. Looking for greater opportunities for development work, she left banking after three years to pursue a graduate degree in computer science at Stanford University, and joined the Financial Products team upon graduation in 1998 to tackle equity-linked software development.

Facilitates institutional order flow in over-the-counter convertible securities, and identifies potential mispricings for customer consideration

Entry-point to industry

LE spent five years trading equities and convertible securities at a major U.S. investment bank after studying economics and industrial management at Carnegie-Mellon University. Since joining the Financial Products team in 1998, he has played a significant role in establishing the firm as one of the preeminent providers of liquidity in U.S. convertible securities.

Entry-point to industry

LD joined the Financial Products group straight from Georgetown University, where she had studied international politics and had interned at Germany's parliament, the Bundestag. She spent two years learning all aspects of supporting and maintaining user desktops running on the firm's NT and Unix environments before moving into a supervisory position.

Makes markets in a broad range of European convertible securities

Entry-point to industry

A former British Student Boxing champion, NC initially gravitated towards finance upon completing his studies of philosophy, politics, and economics at Oxford University. He spent two years as a corporate finance analyst at one of the world's most recognized investment banks before moving to that firm's trading desk, where he made markets in Japanese convertibles and derivatives for a further five years. Looking to fulfill a lifelong interest in charitable works, he took a two-year hiatus from finance and relocated to Southern Africa, where he helped administer refugee and microcredit organizations before joining KBC Financial Products in 2000.
