We believe technology, expertly applied to financial markets, can help clients pursue their investment and financing strategies more profitably. KBC Financial Products was founded on this principle.

We have had a number of firsts in Technology. We were the:

  • First securities house in the convertibles market to provide customers with a standardised quantitative view of individual warrants and convertible bonds
  • First to update theoretical valuations and risk parameters for convertibles and warrants in real-time for customers
  • First to publish statistically rigorous indices covering the warrant and convertible markets

Also, in the equity derivatives market, we have been an early distributor of tools allowing customers to evaluate a financial product's performance under a wide variety of user-defined scenarios, creating as much numerical clarity as possible for customers.

Today, nearly a fifth of our employees are technologists, creating customer value through developments in two key areas: Decision Analytics and Data Breadth and Integrity

Decision analytics

Since 1996 we have used technology to help make financial decisions more transparent for our customers, offering a variety of web-enabled tools to provide analytics to build and evaluate portfolios.

KBC Analyst is our online analytics tool covering convertibles, equities and warrants. It is a web-based tool specifically designed to meet the sophisticated needs of institutional investors active in those markets.

Designed to significantly enhance transparency in the convertibles, equities and warrants markets, KBC Analyst offers:

  • Real-time pricing in over 1,200 convertibles and warrants
  • Powerful screening tools for in-depth market analysis
  • Interactive graphing of historical prices and risk parameters
  • Downloads of archived convertible and warrant prices

WarrantLab is a continuously updated web-based tool that provides Asian-based retail clients detailed pricing and market data covering the majority of warrants listed in Hong-Kong. WarrantLab helps investors access the most suitable warrant investment in any particular stock or index more efficiently.

We have invested heavily in creating, maintaining, and expanding one of the industry's most comprehensive databases of terms, conditions, and price histories.
