How do we fit in?

We are one of the major subsidiaries of KBC Bank NV. KBC Bank NV is a wholly owned subsidiary of KBC Group NV, a multi-channel banking, insurance and asset management group, based in Brussels, Belgium. KBC Group NV is listed on Euronext Brussels and is a component stock of the major index, Eurostoxx. KBC Group NV is one of the leading financial institutions in Europe, focusing on Belgium and Central Europe, and catering mainly to retail and private banking customers.

KBC Group was formed on 1 January 2005 through the merger of KBC Bankverzekeringsholding NV ("KBC Holding") and Almanij NV. KBC Holding was formed in 1998 following the merger of Kredietbank, Cera Bank and ABB Insurance.

KBC Group has 11 million customers in 30 countries and more than 51,000 employees. KBC Group has a market capitalisation of over €33 billion and total assets of over €325 billion.

KBC Group is the third largest banking, insurance and asset management group in Belgium and holds a dominant position in Central and Eastern Europe. It is the second largest bank in Hungary and the Czech Republic and has the second largest non-life insurance business in Poland.
